Drawing Lesson - Graphite Sticks - Line Control, Blending Tones & Properties

In this simple exercise you will explore the use of graphite sticks to see how various marks, lines and tones can be created. This type of control exercise will help you develop and expand you skills with various drawing materials so that you can continue to add a grater variety of mark making to your drawing vocabulary.

Materials: 4B and 6B graphite sticks and 18 x 24" drawing paper.

You should try to recreating the exercise set below and when you have accomplished it successfully try creating another set of different and unique marks that will add to your drawing language.
